Xiaomi upgrades the dust and water resistance rating of the Xiaomi 15 series!
As per our sources, all the devices that are going to be the part of Xiaomi 15 series will have an IP69 dust and water-resistant rating. This includes both Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro models. The Xiaomi 14 series, for reference, had an IP68 rating. The IP (Ingress Protection) rating is an important factor for any device as it tells the level of protection your electronic equipment has against foreign such as dust and moisture.

The first digit in a rating stands for the level of dust and hard object protection rating, whereas the second or last digit stands for protection against water or moisture. For example, if a device has an IP67 rating, it means it has a 6-level solid protection rating and a 7-level liquid protection rating. 6 is the highest level for dust resistance in IP rating and 9 is the highest for liquid protection. The Xiaomi 15 series will IP69 rating, which means it has the highest level of dust and water resistance rating as per the international standard IEC 60529.
Talking about the specifications, not much has been revealed about it for now. But a few early leaks do tell us about some of its hardware such as the presence of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 flagship chipset, a 50-megapixel primary camera with a larger aperture, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and much more.
