OnePlus will ensure 4-year battery health on new models

OnePlus has been working on a new battery technology for a long time. They had confirmed this a long ago. The brand has now shed more light on the upcoming project. The brand has uploaded many images about developing a new battery tech on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo.

OnePlus’ new battery tech guarantees 4 years of battery health

The official post of OnePlus confirms that the new battery technology is going to be more efficient and durable. Further, the firm says that it is extremely energy-dense when compared with the current tech. This means that it can have a larger mAh capacity in smaller sizes.

As per the OnePlus, the newer battery technology will be able to retain up to 80% of the battery’s original capacity after as much as four years of regular use. This is a steep upgrade when compared with the existing tech that claims 80% battery health retention after an average of 800 charging cycles.

Further, given that the newer battery tech is going to be more energy-dense; we will soon get to see higher battery capacity in the upcoming smartphones. The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is said to have a whopping 6100mAh battery with the support of 100W fast charging. The battery will have an energy density of 763Wh/L and it will weigh just 14 grams. The numbers seem quite fascinating.

This is not all, the battery will also retain the support of fast charging, which means it’s going to be all-blue. The Ace 3 Pro will also have 100W charging support with a claimed charging time from 1% to 100% in just 36 minutes. The newer tech surely feels interesting and on paper, it seems to be a huge upgrade. We are excited to put this newer tech on the test.
