Oppo has officially announced the launch of its flagship smartphone, the Find X8 Ultra, which is set to debut in April 2024 in China. However, in a disappointing move for international fans, the company seems to have cancelled the global release of this device.
Prominent X leaker, Yogesh has confirmed that Oppo has scrapped its plan to launch Find X8 Ultra globally due to unknown reasons. He said that Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be the only ‘Ultra’ device from China in global markets. Today Oppo Find Series product manager has also confirmed the April launch of the device in its home country.
Known Specifications
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra will feature a 6.82 inch 2K+120Hz LTPO BOE X2 micro quad curved display with symmetrical bezel design. This is a major change over Find X7 Ultra. The smartphone will also feature a big 6000mah battery with 100W fast wired and wireless charging. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. There is also a Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner and IP68/69 high specification dust and waterproof certification.
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra will have a quad camera system, the main camera to be the same as the previous generation LYT 900 1 inch module and 50MP IMX 882 Ultrawide will also be not changed. The new X8 Ultra will feature a 50MP IMX 882 6x periscope camera.The 3x periscope lens will also get a boost, featuring 50MP IMX 906 1/1.56 inch size sensor. Oppo has hinted that Find X8 Ultra’s night photography will be astonishing. All the four cameras will be tuned in partnership with Hasselblad and there is also a multispectral sensor.
The 3x periscope of Find X8 Ultra is said to feature a largest aperture among any Ultra offering better low light photography and light gathering.
