Smartphone cameras have improved a lot over the years. Some phones now have such powerful cameras that they can compete with basic point-and-shoot cameras. OPPO is about to launch its new flagship phone, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra, which will focus on photography. But before that, the company has introduced its latest camera technology called “Lumo Imaging.”

OPPO’s first imaging brand “Lumo Imaging” set to launch officially
OPPO is holding a special event in China tomorrow, April 2nd, 2025, to showcase its latest camera innovations. At this “OPPO 2025 Imaging Technology” event, the company will officially introduce its first-ever dedicated camera brand—“Lumo Imaging.”
The upcoming OPPO Fin X8 series devices: the Find X8 Ultra, Find X8s and Find X8s+ will be the first batch of devices to feature the new imaging tech. The official slogan of the new tech is “Born for portraits” and this probably confirms the fact that the imaging tech will be focused around portrait images.
Once the OPPO 2025 Imaging Technology event concludes, we’ll get all the details on what LUMO Imaging actually brings to the table—and how it will work alongside OPPO’s existing Hasselblad partnership.
Will it enhance portrait photography even further? Improve low-light performance? Or introduce something entirely new? We’ll soon find out! Stay tuned.
