Recently Chinese brands have been pushing for ultra large batteries in their smartphones. Xiaomi , Realme, Oppo, Vivo etc all have been putting 6000mah or above batteries in their new releases. This is done by using the latest generation of silicon carbon batteries which have higher energy density but are thinner and lighter compared to traditional Li-Po batteries.
Now, the famous Chinese Blogger Digital Chat Station broke the news that Realme is working on a new flagship smartphone with a 8000mah battery capacity. This battery capacity is being tested with a 80W charging solution which can juice up the entire battery in just 70 minutes which is actually impressive considering the size. There are several new battery-charging protocols being tested. One is 7000mah + 120W ( 42 minutes) and 7500mah + 100W ( 55 minutes). One of these three solutions is said to debut on the next iteration of flagship phones.
Several Chinese brands are also testing better high density graphite batteries which are even more efficient than already good silicon carbon batteries. In the future there will be several new phones above 7000mah capacity with graphite solution and silicon carbon solutions.
