Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 leaked specs reveals TSMC’s N3P process, Adreno 840 GPU

Smartphone processors are becoming incredibly powerful. Some can now run PC or console-level games smoothly at 60 frames per second—like the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Most top-tier Android phones depend on Qualcomm’s chips to deliver high performance.

Now, Qualcomm is likely gearing up to launch its next flagship processor, expected to be called the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. Though not officially announced yet, some details about its specs have already leaked.

Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some insights on the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset—or the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Elite—if the official name turns out to be different. According to the post, the architecture design will remain similar to its predecessor, featuring 2 super-big cores and 6 big cores. The chipset will have the codename SM8850.

The cache has been increased from 12MB to 16MB, marking a 33% increase, which could lead to improved performance and better system responsiveness. The NPU computing power has also increased from 80 TOPS to 100 TOPS, a solid 25% boost. It also supports the newer SME1/SVE2 instruction sets.
