Snapdragon 8s Elite tipped to launch soon, multiple devices to feature it

Qualcomm has been making a lot of changes to its Snapdragon processors recently. Last year, the company decided to rebrand its flagship chipsets, changing the name from Snapdragon Gen X to Snapdragon Elite. This was already a shift from the previous naming style, like Snapdragon 888. Now, Qualcomm is making another move by introducing a new line of chipsets called Snapdragon Xs. The new chips are expected to hit the market very soon.

Snapdragon s chipset will hit the market soon

According to a tipster Yogesh Brar’s post on X/Twitter, the Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset is set to launch soon. While he did not add any specific launch date in the post, he claims that the first Snapdragon 8s Elite powered device will hit the market in April. This means that we can expect the launch of this new chipset either by the end of this month or in the starting April.

He also mentioned that many upcoming phones will include this new Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset. As for the details, there’s no information yet about its specs or hardware. However, it’s likely to be positioned below the current top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It might be similar to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with just a few small tweaks here and there.

Since it will be positioned below the Snapdragon 8 Elite, it will also be more affordable for smartphone brands. This means we can expect the new chipset to power upcoming “flagship killer” devices. That said, it’s best to wait until the chipset is officially launched or until more details are revealed before drawing any final conclusions about its performance or value.
