These Redmi and POCO devices will no longer get software updates

Xiaomi has silently started working on its next major version of the HyperOS. It will be known as HyperOS 3 and based on Android 16. For your reference, the Android 16 is scheduled to debut officially next month i.e., in June 2025, much earlier than the usual rollout schedule. However, not all devices will receive the update as Xiaomi has refreshed its list of devices marked EOL (end-of-life) and will no longer receive the update. You can check the list below.

Xiaomi ends support for 7 POCO and Redmi devices

As per the latest update, these seven devices have been officially marked EOL (end-of-life), meaning that these devices won’t receive the software updates anymore. Here are the seven devices which are marked EOL by Xiaomi:

  • Redmi Note 11T Pro
  • Redmi Note 11T Pro+
  • Redmi K50i
  • POCO X4 GT

As you can see, some popular models like the POCO X4 GT is included in the list. These devices won’t receive the OTA (over-the-air) software updates anymore. The company may or may not rollout a final patch update for the devices. But it’s confirmed that the next major Android or HyperOS update won’t be available for these devices.
