
Vivo has officially confirmed that its latest foldable flagship, the X Fold 5, will be launching in India in July 2025. The device, which debuted in China earlier this month, is expected to arrive alongside the Vivo X200 FE, marking a significant expansion of Vivo’s premium smartphone lineup in the Indian market.

Vivo X Fold 5 will come with a 2K+ foldable AMOLED screen inside that measures 8.03 inches, and there is an LTPO cover screen outside measuring 6.53 inches. Support for a 120Hz refresh rate is expected for both screens, so you can enjoy fast and responsive visuals.The Smartphone will also feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and the RAM and storage are expected to be up to 16GB and 512GB, respectively. Although it’s not the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset but 8 Gen 3 still offers blazing fast performance and efficiency.
Another highlight of the X Fold 5 is its battery capacity, featuring the largest battery ever on a folding device at 6000mAh. This massive battery will be paired with 80W wired and 40W wireless charging technology.
When it comes to imaging, of course, Vivo will come at the top. And the X Fold 5 is not any different, featuring a 50MP triple rear camera setup, which includes a Sony IMX921 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens with autofocus, and a 50MP IMX882 periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, all co-engineered with Zeiss optics. The device also offers dual 32MP selfie cameras—one on each display.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, multiple AI capabilities, a 3-stage alert slider, and an IPX8+IPX9+IPX9+ and IP5X ratings for water and dust resistance.
