Vivo X200 Ultra: here’s what we know about it so far

Though we are still quite a few weeks ahead of the official launch date, we are aware of most of its possible specifications all thanks to leaks and rumours. Starting with the display, the Vivo X200 Ultra is said to pack a top-of-the-line 6.82-inch micro-quad curved BOE OLED display. The panel will have support of 120Hz high refresh rate and a 2K pixel resolution. It is going to be powered by the Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

Speaking about the most interesting part of the gadget, it’s cameras, the Vivo X200 Ultra will sport triple rear camera setup. It will have a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-818 primary wide lens, a 50-megapixel Sony LYT 818 secondary ultrawide lens and a whopping 200-megapixel Samsung HP9 periscope zoom telephoto lens. On the front, it will pack a 50-megapixel wide angle selfie shooter. But that’s not all for the cameras. It will have two dedicated chips for camera image processing. The Vivo S1 chip will handle the pre-processing of the images whereas the post-processing will be managed by Vivo V3+ chip.

As for the battery and charging, it will pack a 6000-mAh silicon carbon battery with the support of upto 90W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging. It will have dual IP68+IP69 dust and water resistance rating. Now all that specifications do look interesting but what matters the most is pricing. But hey, don’t expect the device to be priced very competitively since it’s going to be an imaging flagship.

  1. As someone who works with mobile imaging tech, I’m genuinely curious to see how Vivo balances processing between the S1 and V3+ chips—dual imaging pipelines at this level are rare. The inclusion of a 200MP periscope lens sounds impressive on paper, but let’s see how it performs in real-world scenarios, especially with dynamic range and low light. If Vivo nails the tuning, this might finally challenge Samsung and Huawei in the zoom game.
