Everyone is waiting for the arrival of the new Xiaomi 15 Series which will debut in late October of this year in China. This will be World’s first phone to be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. Both the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro bring some very noteworthy upgrades over predecessors. However, it seems Xiaomi has other plans for their 15 Series.
Recently, the well-known Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station indirectly mentioned that Xiaomi is also working on a new flagship smartphone potentially named “Xiaomi 15S Pro.” Last time Xiaomi introduced an ‘S’ model in their flagship series was the Xiaomi 12S Series in 2022, since then there was no iteration to the S line-up of phones. However, things may change next year and we might see the Xiaomi 15S Pro. The Blogger didn’t mention Xiaomi 15S so we are assuming only the Pro model will get a refresh.
Xiaomi 15S Pro: Here’s What We Know
According to the blogger, the Xiaomi 15S Pro will have specifications almost identical to the Xiaomi 15 Pro. Both phones feature a centered punch-hole Micro Quad Curved Display. The camera setup, comprising a 50MP fixed-aperture main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP periscope camera, also remains unchanged. However, the design specifications differ between the two phones. It is said that the Xiaomi 15S Pro will sport a more radical design.
In the past, Xiaomi has been known to work on a mysterious flagship phone with a very radical design. It is assumed that the 15S Pro will inherit some of the design features from this mysterious phone to distinguish it from its sibling, the Xiaomi 15 Pro, and other phones on the market. The chip specifications and launch timeline are currently unknown. Additionally, we cannot guarantee if this product will come to market, as it is still in the development stage.
