After wrapping up the launch of Xiaomi 15 series of smartphones, the Chinese tech giant is now working on the next CIVI-lineup device, the Xiaomi CIVI 5 Pro. To recall, the predecessor of the model was launched globally as Xiaomi 14 CIVI and therefore, the CIVI 5 Pro is expected to hit the overseas market as Xiaomi 15 CIVI. The device is tipped to feature the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and a 50-megapixel optical zoom telephoto lens.

Popular tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some insights about the upcoming Xiaomi CIVI 5 Pro device on his Weibo handle. Though the tipster has not explicitly revealed the name of device on the post, he’s most likely referring to the CIVI 5 Pro. He says that a new “medium-screen” smartphone is in the works, that will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.
He further claims that the device will bring key improvement in the selfie image and low light image processing. It will have a large battery measuring the capacity of around 6,000mAh. There will be a 50-megapixel telephoto lens as well. Though, it’s not clear whether the tipster is talking about the regular telephoto or a periscope telphoto.
Going further, the CIVI 5 Pro is said to pack a 1.5K resolution quad-curved screen with narrow bezels. This sums up all the information we have about the upcoming smartphone. The launch is expected to take place in China by the end of this month.
