We may finally get a see a complete UI redesign in the upcoming HyperOS 3. However, it’s not going to be so original revamp. A new leak suggests that Xiaomi‘s upcoming HyperOS will bring the iOS 26’s Liquid Glass design to Android. Yes, you heard it right.

Xiaomi HyperOS 3 to have Liquid Glass inspired design
Tipster Digital Chat Station, on his Weibo handle, has reported that Xiaomi may announce its HyperOS 3 user interface in October 2025 alongside the Xiaomi 16 series. As per the tipster, the UI combines smooth, frosted blur effects with a new glossy icon. Ofcourse, this new design is going to take inspiration from Apple’s iOS 26. It will have Xiaomi’s own retouch though.
The tipster reportedly got to test the early iteration of the software. He describes the UI design as ‘inspired from Liquid Glass style, but not as radical as iOS.’ He says that the UI design is in such a way that it is a lot more readable than the iOS 26. We all know that readability is one of the major issues of the newly introduced Liquid Glass design on the iOS.
HyperOS 3 is expected to feature a redesigned control center, new icon stylings, and a more polished user interface. Xiaomi has been testing the new UI design with launcher surveys. A transparent glass-like search bar was recently discovered in one of the HyperOS builds. Anyway, there’s still plenty of time to officially see and experience the HyperOS 3.
