Last week, OnePlus introduced its premium OnePlus Watch 3 in the US and European markets. Pre-orders opened shortly after the launch, with official sales initially set to begin globally on February 25th. However, the company has now unexpectedly announced that the release date for the OnePlus Watch 3 has been pushed back to April.

OnePlus Watch 3 release date delayed until April
OnePlus has officially confirmed that the release of its OnePlus Watch 3 has been delayed until April. Surprisingly, the reason behind this delay isn’t due to unforeseen circumstances but rather a typo. Yes, you heard that right. A mistake was found on the back of the smartwatch where the label “Made in China” was incorrectly printed as “Meda in China.”
9To5Google reports that OnePlus has made a statement in a press release stating that “The delay comes as a result of a minor typographical error identified below the watch face, which the company is addressing with a new batch. Pre-orders for the corrected device will continue from February 25.”
For customers who have already received the product with the “Meda in China” label on the back, they can request a replacement. This goes to show how even a small typo can lead to significant losses for brands. While fans who were eagerly waiting to try out the product are understandably disappointed, there’s not much to do at this point except wait for the corrected version to arrive.
