Xiaomi has launched its most anticipated Xiaomi 15 Series phones globally in an event in Barcelona, Spain. The series contains two phones, the base Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, all boast top tier hardware features and advanced AI in a sleek design.

Xiaomi 15
Xiaomi 15 features a 6.36 inch flat display with industry leading screen to body ratio. The smartphone is 8.08mm thin and weighs 191g. The bezels from all four sides are just 1.38mm thin making it symmetrical. The display of Xiaomi 15 is also very luxurious, featuring brand new TCLs M9 display material with a peak brightness of 3200 nits. The Xiaomi 15 has a 1.5k resolution screen. The display features 1-120hz LTPO tech for better power consumption. Xiaomi 15 also features Xiaomi’s self developed Longjing glass for durability. The smartphone is also the first phone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

The smartphone features a triple camera setup with a 1/1.31 50MP f1.62 aperture Light Hunter 900 sensor main camera paired with a 50 MPJN1 ultra-wide lens and a 50MP 1/2.76 JN5 2.6X telephoto macro lens. The cameras are co-engineered with Leica, featuring brand new Leica Summilux Lens.
Additionally, the Xiaomi 15 will also support an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner from Goodix. The front camera is 32 MP resolution. The smartphone will also come with a IP68 high level Dust and Waterproof certification.
Xiaomi 15s battery gets a major boost from its predecessor, featuring a large 5240mAh battery paired with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra

The star of the show was of course the Xiaomi 15 Ultra which features a 6.73 inch micro quad curved display. This display is the same as Xiaomi 15 Pro, with a 2K resolution and Xiaomi Longjing Glass 2. The display boasts a peak brightness of 3200 nits. The phone is 9.35mm thin and weighs 226g. Just like Xiaomi 15 and the 15 Pro, Ultra is also powered by the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with dual-channel wing-shaped ring cooling pump for heat dissipation.
The main highlight of this device is the top tier camera configuration which is currently the best in the industry. Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a quad camera setup with a 1/0.98 50MP f1.63 Lytia 900 main camera paired with a 50MP f2.2 JN5 ultra-wide lens, 50MP 1/2.51 IMX 858 f1.8 3X Floating Telephoto lens and 200MP 1/1.4 f2.6 4.3X periscope camera. The cameras will be co-engineered with Leica with brand new Leica Summilux Lens.
Additionally, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra also supports an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner from Goodix. The smartphone also comes with a IP68 high level Dust and Waterproof certification. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is equipped with an ultra large 5410mAh silicon carbon battery with 90W wired and 80W wireless charging support.

Xiaomi 15 Series devices come with a lot of Google Gemini exclusive features including three months of free trial of Gemini Advanced, 2TB of Google storage and other fleet of Gemini features. Both of the devices boot Xiaomi HyperOs 2 out of the box with Xiaomi’s new HyperAI features.
Pricing
Xiaomi 15 is available in three colour options globally: black, white and green. The starting price with 12GB + 256GB starts at 999€ ($1030,₹90,000). There is also a Silver variant of Xiaomi 15 which comes with 12GB + 512GB variant priced at 1099€.
