Nothing is gearing up for the launch of a new phone in the its CMF lineup. It will land in the market as ‘CMF Phone 2 Pro.’ The brand has been teasing the launch since last a few days. Based on the teasers, it would be safe to asssume that the upcoming smartphone will focus on the camera department. Now, Nothing has released the official specifications of the camera and it’s going to be best-in-class.
CMF Phone 2 Pro will get a 2X telephoto zoom lens, probably first-in-segment
The co-founder of Nothing and director of Indian divison, Akis Evangelidis, on his official X/Twitter handle has shared the camera specifications of the upcoming CMF Phone 2 Pro. He says that the device is going to have the ‘best-in-class’ camera system.
As for the specifications, the primary camera is going to be of 50-megapixel resolution. There will be an 8-megapixel secondary ultrawide and most importantly, the device is going to pack a 50-megapixel 2X optical zoom telephoto lens. So on paper, the camera specification is exactly same as the Nothing Phone (3a). For reference, the Phone (3a) costs above INR 25,000 and the CMF Phone 2 Pro is going to be priced under INR 20,000 as per rumours.
So if the rumoured pricing is going to be true, then the CMF Phone 2 Pro is going to be literal camera beast, atleast in terms of hardware specifications. However, it would be interesting to see how the brand will optimize the cameras, since we haven’t yet came across a device having very good camera processing in the said budget.
