We all are aware of the fiasco that happened with the One UI 7 rollout. Samsung delayed it so much that they were probably the last brand to rollout the Android 15 update to its devices. However, it looks like the company is not going to repeat the same mistake with its One UI 8 update. The company has reportedly begun the beta testing of One UI 8 Android 16 for one of its devices.

Latest beta of One UI 8 based on Android 16 has the firmware number S9x8NKSU3ZYER. The total package size of the update is around 3.3GB. Alongside all the core changes of Android 16 and One UI 8, the update brings the latest May 2026 security patch as well. There’s no official information available on which devices will get the update next, but we speculate that it would be the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7.
