Apple iPhones have their own App Store. The apps on iPhones are usually more optimized compared to the Android, thanks to the stricter guidelines set by the tech giant. Now, according to a report, Apple has reportedly rejected over 1.93 million applications for submission and therefore making it the most strictest app store in the history.

App Store rejects nearly 2 million apps, accounting for 25% of total submissions

Apple recently released its App Store Transparency Report. And as per the report, the company has reviewed a total of 7,771,599 apps for submission. Out of which a total of 1.931,400 or 1.91 million apps were rejected for submission. The rejection of the apps were across multiple categories such as safety, performance, business, design, legal and others.

The total number or rejected apps counts for as much as 25% of the total submissions made. Moreover, the Apple has also removed a total of 82, 509 apps primarily for the violations of the guidelines set by the company or issues with the Developer Program License Agreement. The “tools” section was the most number of removal (a total of 16,000) and the second was “games”.

The company further removed a total of 38,315 apps associated in any kind of fraud and has terminated over 146,747 developers accounts. Among this, a whopping 146,583 accounts were directly linked to the cases of fraud. The success rate of appeal made by developers to remove the termination was also very low at 1.6%. This means that out of 26,226 appeals, only 421 appeals were approved. All this metrics combined are enough for anyone to tell that App Store has now become the strictest app store in the history.
