Affordable two new Samsung devices to receive One UI 6 revealed

Samsung has released the One UI 6 beta update for two budget friendly entry level devices. These two devices are the Galaxy Tab A8 and Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. Unexpectedly, Samsung will release the One UI 6 Beta update for these tablets in more regions soon but it’s available only for “DBT” CSC for now. Galaxy S23 series has already been receiving One UI 6 updates for a while, and now the Tab A8 and Tab A7 Lite will also receive this update. We call this unexpected because Samsung also sells more premium tablets under “Tab S” branding but both Tab A8 and Tab A7 Lite tablets receiving the update earlier than the Samsung’s high end tablets.

Tab A8 and A7 Lite get One UI 6, Samsung extends budget tablets update support

Both tablets were introduced in 2021, and considering that the stable version of One UI 6 is expected to be released in 2024, it is reasonable to conclude that the update support for the ‘Galaxy Tab A’ series will be extended to three years. More devices among the Tab A series could also get One UI 6 update soon.

One UI 6 beta update for Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 and Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has currently been released only in the “DBT” region, which means, for now, only in Germany. If your device has the DBT CSC, you can experience the One UI 6 Beta.

Samsung releasing beta software for affordable devices is quite good news. Additionally, this indicates that the update support for Galaxy Tab A tablets will be extended to three years. What are your thoughts on the One UI 6 and Samsung’s update policy?
