Apple Intelligence will be unavailable for EU devices at launch

Apple recently announced its all-new AI-related features termed “Apple Intelligence.” This AI-powered feature can do a slew of tasks and make the overall user experience better and more seamless. Some experts even called it one of the best implementations of Artificial Intelligence in a smartphone. However, there seems to be sad news for the fans living in the EU. Read until the end to find out more.

Apple Fans in EU are disappointed as Apple Intelligence is not coming there!

Apple users residing in the EU are disappointed as some key features of Apple Intelligence that were announced during the WWDC 2024 will be missing from the iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia. The main reason behind this move remains unknown but the brand has blamed the Digital Markets Act (DMA) for it.

The DMA is a regulatory law that enforces all the digital products in the country. Apple claims that due to strict regulatory hurdles, they are unable to provide the features of Apple Intelligence. Not only this, but some other features such as iPhone mirroring to Mac and SharePlay screen recording are also not coming anytime soon.

This is going to be a very sad move for the EU fans considering that Apple Intelligence and other key features are amongst the major and most anticipated features announced during the WWDC event. The firm claims that DMA could jeopardize “privacy and security.”

Well, Apple is taking all the possible steps to resolve the issue and to also comply with the local regulations of the EU. However, the outcome of this is unassumable. EU is very strict when it comes to implementing the laws and Apple has also been under their radar. Apple, on the other hand, does not want its customers to lose out on the flagship features introduced in the WWDC 2024.
