Clamshell-type foldable smartphones have already gained a significant market share. OEMs like Huawei and Samsung have flip devices already available in the market. Xiaomi is a little late to the race, but its upcoming MIX Flip seems already ahead of other flip devices in terms of hardware specifications. Xiaomi has also officially revealed the first look of its upcoming device.

Xiaomi China has posted an official image that reveals the complete look and design of the Xiaomi MIX Flip. The device can be seen in four different colour variants; white, black, purple and purple again but with a texture back. There may be other colour options as well.
Looking at the cover screen, it’s spread across the top part of the rear panel. There are minimal bezels around it and the display wraps around two independent circular camera cutouts. The Type-C port and speaker grill can be seen housed on the bottom frame. It’s also going to be very thin.
Coming down to the hardware specifications, the Xiaomi MIX Flip will be powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It will have dual rear cameras with a 50-megapixel primary wide sensor and a 60-megapixel telephoto secondary lens. The telephoto will support up to 2X optical zoom and macro photography as well. All the cameras will use Leica Summilux Lens.
The device will pack a 4780mAh battery with the support of 67W Xiaomi HyperCharge. The external screen is going to be a full-sized functional one. The gadget will have two different earpieces, one housed on the main screen and the other on the external screen.

MIX Flip will use LPDDR5X RAM type and UFS 4.0 storage. The firm has also packed in a new 3D step vapour chamber cooling technology to ensure that the device doesn’t overheat.

Even though Xiaomi was late to the race, but this device seems no less than a banger. Now everything depends upon the pricing.
