Samsung is apparently gearing up to release their newest foldable, the Z Fold 5, as fellow tech site has MySmartPrice has reported that the posters for the device have finally leaked. And, according to the posters, the hinge gap which was a pain point for many for Z Fold users, is finally gone.
The poster shows the device in the blue colorway, alongside the S Pen Pro, and the Fold 5 looks very similar to the previous Fold 4, however with smaller bezels. This could be a good thing depending on your opinions of the Fold 4, however, as we mentioned, one pain point is gone – the hinge gap is finally gone.
According to MySmartPrice, the device will feature the same internal specs as the S23, with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset – a higher clocked 8 Gen 2, a 7.6″ QHD+ AMOLED display at 120Hz with Dolby Vision, covered with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, a 6.2 inch cover display – also at 120Hz, but at a FHD+ resolution, a 50 megapixel main camera, a 12 megapixel ultrawide angle camera, and a 10 megapixel telephoto with 2X zoom. The selfie camera is also 12 megapixels, and with that, the Z Fold 5 will have a 4400mAh battery with 45W wired charging, and 25W wireless charging.
The Z Fold 5 will be officially announced at Samsung Unpacked, in July, alongside the Z Flip 5.
