Google Magic Editor is coming soon to Pixel 6 and 7 devices

Google announced its new Magic Editor tool back in the Google I/O 2023 event. The tool is based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). the Google Magic Editor uses generative AI to do multiple tasks with the images such as expanding them, removing people from the background, erasing things, and even replacing some objects such as the sky and scenery. The tool gained popularity in no time.

However, the one big issue was that the tool was made only available in the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro devices. The firm later announced that it would be available to the subscribers of Google One as well. This left the users of old Pixel devices disappointed further. But it seems that Google has taken note of this and they are now rolling out the Magic Editor to Pixel 6 and 7 devices.

Google Magic Editor will be available soon to the Pixel 6 and 7 devices

A series of Reddit users have confirmed that they are now able to access the Google Magic Editor on their Pixel 6 and 7 devices. The users also said that they can access the feature even though they haven’t subscribed to the Google One Premium either.

The ITHome later confirmed that Google is indeed rolling out the Google Magic Editor to the Pixel 6 and 7 devices. And more importantly, the feature would be accessible to all the users for free. Google had previously promised that the Magic Editor would remain free for all Pixel users and this latest update is in in-line with the promise.

The feature was initially debuted exclusively to the Google Pixel 8 users and then the firm later announced that anyone who has subscribed to the Google One plan with 2TB base storage will be able to access the feature. Google seems very devoted to the feature and they’re planning to roll out it to as many users as possible.
