Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro product page leaked; camera specs confirmed

We are not very far from the official launch of Google’s next generation of flagship smartphones. It’s just a matter of a few days and we would get to witness to launch finally. Regardless, leaks and rumors have become a ritual in the world of tech and so is the case with the upcoming Pixel 8 series as well. There has already been plenty of leaks and rumour surrounding the upcoming series and now, a fresh new leak has popped up online which leaks some key specifications of the gadget.

Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro; key specifications

Legendary tipster Evan Blass on X (formerly Twitter) has posted some images regarding the upcoming Pixel 8 lineup of smartphones. The images are allegedly the official product page of the device. It’s a neat comparison between four Google devices; the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 8, and finally the Pixel 8 Pro.

According to the image, the Pixel 8 will feature a 6.2-inch Actua display with a refresh rate support of up to 120Hz. On the other hand, the high-end Pixel 8 Pro will flaunt a 6.7-inch Super Actua display with up to 120Hz refresh rate support. We are unclear on what the term “Actua” actually means. Maybe just another marketing term for AMOLED  displays or something else?

In terms of cameras, both the Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro will have a 10.5-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. On the rear, the former will have a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary wide lens and a 12-megapixel secondary ultrawide lens. The latter will have a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary lens, a 48-megapixel secondary ultrawide lens, and a 48-megapixel periscope zoom lens with up to 5X optical zoom support.

The chart also confirms that both the Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro will be powered by the new generation of Tensor G3 chipset. Further, both the gadgets will have IP68 dust and water resistance ratings as well.
