Google Pixel 8a live image leaked; reveals rounded design

Google is all set to launch their Pixel 8 lineup of smartphones. The fans’ expectations have gone high, especially after going through the leaks and the iPhone 15 series launch. Currently, we expect only the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro to make the debut. The Pixel 8a is a later launch thing. But surprisingly, we have also started hearing about the rumors of Pixel 8a. The latest piece of information making rounds of the internet reveals the live image of the forthcoming gadget.

Here’s how the Google Pixel 8a might look in real life!

Known tipster @yabhishekhd has posted a live image of the upcoming Pixel 8a on X (formerly, Twitter). The image reveals the look of the smartphone from the rear. This is probably the first image concerning the Pixel 8a on the internet. Obviously, the device follows the design language of the Google Pixel lineup, and it can be seen in the “blue” color variant.

The leak depicts a gadget with two cameras in a pill-shaped cutout and a blue color scheme similar to what we’ve seen in the early Pixel 8 Pro leaks. The design of the phone has been updated with more rounded corners, as shown in the photos. This brings it in line with the rest of the Pixel 8 series. The metal sides of the phone have a matte finish, while the back has a glossy finish, similar to that of the Pixel 7a.

On the front of the Google Pixel 8a, there’s a centrally aligned punch hole cutout for the selfie camera. The bezels on this device are slightly broader than usual, which is typical for Google’s “a” lineup of devices. The device is codenamed “Akita” and is expected to be powered by the latest Tensor G3 chipset, which will also be used in other Pixel 8 series smartphones.
