Google’s brand new AR game, Space Invaders: World Defense is out on Play Store.

Google made an announcement about their upcoming augmented reality (AR) game during a previous I/O event. . Now, Space Invaders: World Defense has appeared available on Google Play Store. Although the game cannot be downloaded immediately, interested users can register for a later download.

Google collaborated with Taito Studio from Japan to develop this AR game. Taito has revealed that the game will be publicly available for download on July 7, accessible through the App Store for iOS devices and Google Play Store for Androids.

Space Invaders: World Defense

The game will work with the help of Google Street View and Google Earth together to create a unique experience for every user. In other words, you will experience an interactive game experience by using your device’s location and communicating with the objects around and virtual objects you see on your device’s display through GPS and the device’s camera.

Google has shared a teaser video of the game but it doesn’t give us much of an idea of what the actual game experience is, but we can be sure that Google is working on something pretty big.
