Honor, Huawei’s sub-brand, has introduced its brand new book-style foldable, the Honor Magic Vs2. Honor unveiled the Magic Vs2 in China, and we can say that it is one of the most compact foldables. The Magic V2 comes with a Luban Titanium hinge and weighs 229 grams, making it almost the same weight as the iPhone 15 Pro Max and lighter than the 14 Pro Max. Honor Magic Vs2 is a quite powerful foldable thanks to its triple camera setup and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
The Magic Vs2 boasts a thickness of 5.1mm in its unfolded state and 10.7mm when folded. The inner display of Honor Magic Vs2 measures 7.92 inches with a resolution of 2344×2156, while the outer display is 6.43 inches with a resolution of 2376×1060. The outer display offers a remarkable maximum brightness of 2500 nits.
Both the outer and inner displays are equipped with LTPO technology and support a refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. The phone is equipped with a dual selfie camera, and you can use the selfie camera in both the folded and unfolded state.
At the back of the phone, you’ll find a triple camera setup, featuring a 50 MP f/1.9 primary camera, a 20 MP f/2.4 telephoto camera, and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Interestingly, while the main camera lacks OIS, the telephoto camera supports OIS. The phone is capable of recording videos at a maximum resolution of 4K using both the rear and front facing cameras.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and comes with a 5000 mAh battery. This battery supports 66W fast charging (11V/6A). According to Honor, a full charge takes 45 minutes.
The phone comes with USB-C charging port and has USB 3.1 Gen 1 standard, supports video output via the port. Honor Magic Vs2 comes with two different storage and RAM options, 12GB+256GB (CNY 6999) and 16GB+512GB (CNY 7699). The phone is available in blue, black and purple colors. Although the Chinese price of Magic Vs2 is far from the global pricing, the pricing of the base variant in China is 958 USD.
