Vivo’s sub-brand IQOO has been known for providing cutting edge hardware at a very aggressive pricing. Last year IQOO launched its IQOO 12 smartphone and it was widely praised for its photography capabilities and performance at a very aggressive pricing. Now the company is gearing up to release its successor IQOO 13 in an event scheduled to take place in November in China.
IQOO 13 was officially announced at Vivo’s Developer Conference (VDC 2024) to debut with BOE’s latest Q10 display. This display is said to bring substantial improvement in brightness levels, power consumption and lifespan. Global peak brightness is increased by 12.5% over the previous generation.The display power consumption is decreased by 10% and the lifespan is also increased by 33%. IQOO 13 will have a 2K 144Hz flat display. The display will also have an advanced eye protection scheme. From the official picture it can be seen that the display bezels are very narrow from all four sides.

Other specifications include a triple camera setup. The primary camera will be a 50MP 1/1.56 inch IMX 921 sensor. The Ultrawide camera will be a 50MP JN1 sensor and at last a 2X IMX 826 telephoto camera. There will be OIS support for both main and telephoto cameras, a big 6000mah battery with 100W fast charging support. IQOO 13 will be powered by Vivo’s Origin OS 5 in China whereas in Global Markets it will be shipped with Funtouch OS 15.

Overall, the IQOO 13 will also be an exciting phone, especially targeted towards the performance enthusiasts . The phone will debut in China first at the end of October. The global and India launch should be in December of this year making it probably the first phone to be available globally with the new Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition (Snapdragon 8 Gen 4) processor .
