OnePlus is set to finish the launch of its first-ever foldable smartphone, the OnePlus Open, in a few days. Following that, we can expect to receive official news and teasers about the upcoming OnePlus 12 as we move closer to the official launch date. There have already been numerous leaks about the device circulating online, and now, a new leak has surfaced, which confirms the display specifications of the forthcoming device.
OnePlus 12 will have a slightly bigger and better AMOLED display
According to the latest Weibo post by known tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming OnePlus 12 will have a slightly bigger 6.82-inch display compared to the 6.7-inch display of its predecessor. He further claims that it will get a peak brightness of up to 2600 nits, which is almost double what the OnePlus 11 has to offer.
The OnePlus 12 will have a pixel resolution of 1440*3168 and an aspect ratio of 19:8:9. For reference, the predecessor had an aspect ratio of 20:9. Further, this screen will be manufactured by BOE and not Samsung. It would be an LTPO AMOLED display which means it can go all the way down to 1Hz and as high as 120Hz depending upon the content, in order to save battery.

Apart from the display part, the tipster claims that the OnePlus 12 will have up to 24GB of RAM paired with a whopping 1TB of onboard internal storage. Some other specs are already leaked previously, that confirm the presence of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Well, it is going to be the latest flagship smartphone so this is more or less expected.
The device is first expected to be launched in China by the end of this year. And after that, we will get to see the official global launch of the device. I presume that there won’t be any major difference between the Chinese and overseas market and hence, the Chinese launch will reveal everything about the gadget.
