It’s time for us to start preparing for the launch of the OnePlus 13 series. The series will initially see two models; the OnePlus 13R and 13. We may get to see other models later. The series is expected to launch in mainland China as early as Q4 of 2024. Overseas launch might take place in early 2025. But before moving on to that, we now have a new leak revealing some of the specifications of the upcoming device.
OnePlus 13R will have a substantial upgrade over its predecessor
As per a post on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, the OnePlus Ace 5 smartphone is just around the corner and we are not too far from the launch. Also, the “Ace” model is usually launched under “R” branding in the global market. Hence, OnePlus Ace 5 is the OnePlus 13R for the global market.
Anyway, going back to the specifications, the Oneplus 13R is said to feature a flat OLED panel manufactured by BOE. The panel is going to be of the latest 8T LTPO type. It will have a 1.5K pixel resolution and it will be a flat panel. The gadget will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Since this is going to sit below the OnePlus 13, the chipset choice isn’t too bad.

Going further, it is reported that the device will flaunt a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. There might be a periscope telephoto zoom lens present on the device this time. There will be an additional secondary ultrawide lens as well. It will pack a whopping 6000mAh battery, all thanks to new silicone battery tech that allows the brand to pack more battery in less space. That’s it for the leaked specifications of the forthcoming OnePlus 13R.
