OPPO and OnePlus have completed their flagship smartphone launches and are now shifting their focus to the upcoming foldable smartphone, the OPPO Find N5, also known as the OnePlus Open 2. There have been several leaks regarding the launch timeline, indicating that the product is set to be released in China after the Chinese New Year, which falls on January 29, 2025. However, a new report suggests that the launch is happening sooner than previously anticipated.

OnePlus Open 2, or the OPPO Find N5 is launching sooner than expected
One of the users on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo on a post asked if the OPPO Find X8 Ultra could be released in January 2025 or not. Replying to this, the Product Manager of OPPO, Zhou Yibao replied “First, the new generation of large folding, then X8U, don’t worry. They will all come, guaranteed to be amazing.”
So as per the official, the upcoming foldable device which is none other than the OPPO Find N5 will launch before the Find X8 Ultra. The OPPO Find N5 will later land in the overseas market as OnePlus Open 2.

Talking about the Open 2 in particular, the tipster Yogesh Brar on X (formerly Twitter) says that there are so many random posts about the device. He further clarified in the same post that Open 2’s launch is happening sooner than what is being reported. He did not explicitly mention any timeline on the post but said that he would report more about the device later.
Overall, both the OnePlus Open 2 and the OPPO Find N5 (which are essentially the same devices) are set to launch sooner than expected in their respective markets. This is intriguing news! Let’s wait a few more days for further updates.
