Kadir Can AkıncıOnePlus has long been the subject of rumors regarding their release of a foldable device, Smartprix and OnLeaks shared a couple renders that provide an early look into the design of OnePlus V Fold. While earlier rumors indicated that OnePlus’ foldable will be similar to the OPPO’s foldable phone, it seems that OnePlus V Fold will be a completely unique device.

The exact launch date of OnePlus V Fold is currently unknown but it is expected to be unveiled later this year. If it does debut this year, it might come equipped with either Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor or maybe even an overclocked version named “Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2”. However if the device is introduced at a later date, it is likely to feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
The shared render images did not reveal the technical specifications, but even just by examining the images you can see that OnePlus V Fold has a powerful camera setup. It features a triple camera setup, including a main camera, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and a periscope telephoto camera. Previous rumors suggested that the main camera of OnePlus V Fold will feature Sony’s IMX 890 image sensor, but we don’t have all the confirmed specs at this time.
OnePlus V Fold has a selfie camera on both the inner and outer display. While the selfie camera in outer display is positioned in the middle, the inner display has a cutout selfie camera on the upper left corner of the display. OnePlus V Fold’s fingerprint sensor is positioned on the power button.
It is unclear if there will be different variants but judging by images, the phone seems like featuring a leather back which is quite helpful to reduce weight. The phone also has a very slim profile as the phone’s body has almost the same thickness as the USB-C charging port. OnePlus V Fold is just about to be ready to be another Chinese foldable with a sleek design.
One of the rumors surrounding the OnePlus V Fold pertains to its battery specifications. It is said to come with a 4800 mAh battery and support 100W SUPERVOOC fast charging.
