Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco has officially announced the debut of its next generation flagship series, the Poco F7 Series in the global market on 27th March 2025.The smartphone series consists three phones, Poco F7, F7 Pro and for the first time an Ultra variant will also be launched. However the base Poco F7 will not be announced on 27th March and will be released later in Q2. Nevertheless, the remaining top phones come with the cutting edge hardware and at a not so expensive price.
Poco F7 Ultra is officially confirmed to feature a 6.67 inch 2K 120hz LTPS M9 display same as its Chinese counterpart Redmi K80 Pro. The same display will debut on F7 Pro as well. The F7 Ultra comes with the latest and the greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship processor paired with an independent vision boost D7 chip whereas F7 Pro will debut a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, both offering incredible gaming performance and efficiency. The Antutu score of Poco F7 Ultra is almost touching 2.85 million points.
But the most exciting feature is the massive upgrade to the camera system. Poco has also confirmed that F7 Ultra will be the first smartphone from the brand with a Telephoto lens, that too a 50MP floating telephoto lens which we have previously seen only on Xiaomi flagship devices. The advantage of floating telephoto is that it can do both telephoto zoom shots and close up macro. Thanks to this advanced camera system, the F7 Ultra’s imaging versatility is class leading.
