The only difference you will notice between a Xiaomi device and a POCO device is its home launcher. The Xiaomi devices running on HyperOS have the default system launcher, whereas the POCO devices running on the “HyperOS for POCO” use the POCO launcher as default. While the POCO launcher wasn’t as great as the system launcher of Xiaomi, it was known for offering a customizable app drawer with colour-based app segregation support. The brand improved the launch over time, though.
In an ongoing effort to improve the POCO launcher further, the firm has pushed the December 2024 update of the POCO launcher to all eligible models. This update brings some awaited optimizations and bug fixes.
