Date of Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2023 event, which was launched with slogan “Catch the next wave of mind-blowing innovation”, event date was also announced. Great innovations will be waiting for us at the event that will take place in Maui, Hawaii between October 24-26, 2023. While Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2023 event has developments in many ways, most important is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. According to the leaks reported to date, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will come with 1+5+2= 8 cores configuration, including 1x Cortex-X4 prime core, 5x Cortex-A720 cores and 2x Cortex-A510 cores. Chipset will have Adreno 750 GPU and 10MB L3 cache, and chipset will be produced with TSMC N4P 4nm process. Moreover, a leak from Weibo says the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scores 2,723 and 7,525 in Geekbench 6’s single and multi-core tests. In AnTuTu V9, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scores 1,712,271 points. It performs remarkably better in a second run (2,723/7,525). Another leak showed the Apple A17 Bionic getting 3,019 and 7,860 in same test.
Another innovation that will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is the Snapdragon X75 modem, Qualcomm’s latest 5G modem. Qualcomm says the X75 is world’s first 5G Advanced-ready modem-RF system. Its transceiver can singularly handle mmWave and sub-6 band 5G, readying it for evolution of 5G networks that use both frequencies. X75 also allegedly adds in 2.5x faster AI processing compared to the X70, and has dual SIM dual active tech to allow for two simultaneous 5G data connections.
