As we said earlier, 2025 will be the year of smartphones with bigger battery capacity. This is a win-win situation for both general and power-hungry users. OnePlus and OPPO have been previously reported to work on their 6000mAh battery-powered devices. And now, the sister brand, Realme is said to be working on a Realme Neo 7 device that will reportedly feature a 7000mAh battery. Yes, you heard it right; a 7000mAh battery on a Realme device.
Realme Neo 7 to get 7000mAh battery with 800Wh/L energy density
Realme has teased one of its upcoming smartphones, the Realme Neo 7, in China. As per the teaser image, the device will pack a whopping 7000mAh battery. The brand also says that its energy density is going to be as high as 800Wh/L. To add more to it, the device will use the latest silicon carbon battery tech, which ensures that the energy is stored in high density and will not affect the device’s thinness.
The silicon carbon battery uses silicon negative electrode tech to ensure high energy density in the same volume therefore allowing the smartphone manufacturers to use higher battery capacity in the same or even less space.
As per Realme, the Neo 7 with its 7000mAh “monster” battery can deliver up to 3 days of usage on a single full charge. The brand also promises that it can deliver up to 23 hours of video playback, 22 hours of continuous map navigation, up to 89 hours of music playback and up tto14 hours of video call on a single charge. All these claims are indeed very big and it would be worth seeing how the device holds up in real usage.
