Qualcomm has officially announced that its new mid premium processor Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 will be announced on April 2. The new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 brings some incremental upgrades over the previous generation. It is based on TSMCs 4nm node, with one 3.21Ghz Cortex X4, three Cortex A720 cores and Adreno 825 GPU.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 will be featured on a variety of smartphones starting with the Redmi new Turbo 4 Pro smartphone which is scheduled for launch in April. The Redmi Turbo series has always been a performance centric phone and the new Turbo 4 Pro will not be any different.
The Turbo 4 Pro will be equipped with a 1.5k flat display. Redmi will explore a new 19:5:9 aspect ratio display for this new smartphone with ultra narrow bezels all around. The smartphone is also said to pack a massive 7500mah battery capacity with 90W fast charging support.
Turbo 4 Pro will also be equipped with a dual camera setup with primary 50MP sensor and an ultrawide camera. Since last year Redmi has been prioritizing the durability of its phones and the new Turbo 4 Pro will be equipped with IP 68 and IP 69 rating as well.
