Vivo Apex series is Vivo’s concept series with the brand’s most innovative phone lineup. Apex was introduced in 2019 for the first time with “Vivo Apex 2019”. This smartphone brought some of the coolest innovative technology back then. It was Vivo’s first 5G phone with a Unibody design. The display was curved with no physical buttons and speaker grills. It had pressure sensitive touch and a full screen in-display fingerprint scanner. To compensate for speaker grills, the concept smartphone uses Body SoundCasting technology to transform the entire display into a speaker via screen vibration. The USB port was replaced with magnetic charging.
Then Vivo stepped up its game with the Vivo Apex 2020 concept smartphone which was introduced in 2020. This one is even crazier. It has an 120° extreme curved screen on both sides. Since both the sides are almost curved there were again physical buttons and speaker grills. The phone again featured a pressure sensitive button and 3rd generation SoundCasting Technology. The concept smartphone also featured Vivo’s first Under Display selfie camera and 5X-7.5X continuous zoom technology. It was also the first time Vivo introduced a Global stabilization in a smartphone for the first time.
Vivo Apex 2025
A fresh leak came, hinting at a potential existence of a new Vivo Apex concept smartphone which could be Vivo Apex 2025. As per Digital Chat Station, a company has been working on a phone with dual under display selfie camera. Although there was no mention of a company or smartphone name, we assume it to be one from Vivo Apex series. The smartphone is said to feature 2K micro quad curved display with dual under display selfie camera technology. The smartphone will also have a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Till now no company has managed to pull off a dual under display selfie camera so it will be worth watching how Vivo will manage to do it.
The launch timeline is currently not unknown, and there is no news if this smartphone will be mass produced or will remain a concept phone just like every Vivo Apex phones. We will continue to track new developments regarding this smartphone so please wait for future stories.
