Xiaomi has begun rolling out the HyperOS 2.1 update for the global and Indian variants of the Xiaomi 14. For the global version, the update comes with the build number OS2.0.100.0.VNCMIXM, while the Indian variant has the build number OS2.0.100.0.VNCINXM. Other regions might receive the update with different build numbers. The update size is approximately 1.1GB, though this can vary depending on the region. Some users have reported update sizes around 700MB, while others have seen updates exceeding 1GB in size.

What’s new in the HyperOS 2.1?

The HyperOS 2.1 update isn’t as significant as the HyperOS 2 upgrade, but it focuses more on refining the system experience. Xiaomi has introduced some AI-related features to enhance functionality, while also polishing the overall UI and UX for a smoother feel. Additionally, the update brings the highly anticipated parallel-animation rendering, which should improve visual performance and responsiveness.

You can check for the update manually by going to Settings, then About Phone and tap on HyperOS logo. If the update would be available, the system will prompt you for the installation. If it is not, then you should wait a few more days as updates are generally rolled out in batches.
