Recently, Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 has been a hot topic in the tech community, mainly because it’s rumored to bring some noteworthy changes over HyperOS 1.0, and Xiaomi has already prepared the Beta versions for some selected Xiaomi/Redmi devices.
Xiaomi 14 Spotted Running HyperOS 2.0
A screenshot has recently been leaked from the Xiaomi China community platform showing the Xiaomi 14 running HyperOS 2.0.240703 version internally. This is the initial build of HyperOS 2.0, which is being tested on the Xiaomi 14.
Currently, three models are finalized for the Beta program starting in August: the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, and Redmi K60 Ultra. Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 will be launched together with the Xiaomi 15 Series in late October. The global rollout of Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 is expected to begin in late December and early January. The models expected to be updated first to this significant update are the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi 14T, Xiaomi 14T Pro, and Poco F6 Series. More devices will follow later.
What to Expect from HyperOS 2.0
Although exact details are currently unknown, leaks suggest that HyperOS 2.0 will be an incremental upgrade over HyperOS 1.0. It is said to resolve some pain points of the previous version, one of which is providing a detailed changelog of the updates on devices. System optimizations are expected, including more fluid animations, improved power efficiency, and better battery life.
In the past, Xiaomi has focused on implementing AI in its People×Car×Home strategy. Thus, AI will again be a highlight of Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0. Several new AI features are expected to be launched, and Xiaomi Hypermind is also expected to get an update to Hypermind+. HyperOS 2.0 will be heavily focused on the interconnectivity of Xiaomi ecosystem products, aiming to bring a seamless ecosystem experience to its users.
