Xiaomi is all set to host its annual flagship event in China tomorrow. But before that, the CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, shared some keynotes related to the event. He also confirmed the rumoured “price hike”. He says that because of all this R&D and improvements, the Xiaomi 15 series will be priced on the higher side. However, the device will still offer exceptional value, adds the CEO. He further said that the new 3nm finfet tech used in the mobile chipset and inflation in the price of RAM and ROM have contributed majorly to the price hike.
Further, the CEO says that all the devices in the Xiaomi 15 lineup will use the new M9 luminous material panel with a dual micro-cavity structure. This panel is designed to improve the luminous efficiency and therefore reduce the overall power consumption. The Xiaomi 15 series will be able to achieve a 2K screen to 1.5K screen power consumption rate per the official.
Last but not least, in the ending note, the CEO reaffirms the brand’s goal of shipping 20,000 units of Xiaomi SU7 in a month. He says that the EV is performing well and that he will provide a status update related to its market performance first day of each month.
