It’s time for us, the tech enthusiasts, to start waiting for the Ultra flagships. Both Xiaomi and OPPO are in-line to launch its Ultra premium smartphone in the market. Not to mention, there would be top-tier camera specifications on the both. Anyway, there’s a new leak on the internet that claims that Xiaomi’s 15 Ultra flagship will feature an in-house Surge chip.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra will get a mystery surge chip
Popular Xiaomi tipster, Kartikey, has shared an exclusive insight about the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra device. As per the post he made on X (formerly Twitter), the Ultra flagship will feature Xiaomi’s in-house self-developed mystery small Surge chip. Well, what exactly would be the name of this chip and it’s specifications remains unknown.
But since its going under “Surge” moniker, we can expect it to have some impact on the performance or power efficiency of the gadget.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra has started getting listed on lot of certification websites such as China 3C, MIIT, European EEC and more. This hints towards an imminent launch. The device is said to offer top-tier specifications like Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, quad cameras with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, and 120Hz micro-quad curved OLED display. There’s no official information on the launch timeline yet, but we can expect the device to land in Q1 (before mid-March) this year.
