Xiaomi just launched the Xiaomi 15 series worldwide, and now they’re already gearing up for their next releases. Reports say the Xiaomi 15s lineup is coming soon, but it’ll only be available in China. Meanwhile, Xiaomi seems to have started working on its next flagship—the Xiaomi 16 series. A fresh leak has now surfaced, revealing some key specs of the Xiaomi 16 Pro.

Xiaomi 16 Pro to get new periscope lens and a better display
As per a recent report, the Xiaomi has already started working on its Xiaomi 16 lineup. It is expected to launch first in China in Q4 this year. The global launch will take place on the first quarter of 2026.
Per the leak, the upcoming Xiaomi 16 Pro will get a fresh upgrade in its periscope telephoto lens. The Xiaomi 15 Pro, for reference, uses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 periscope telephoto. The upcoming device may get the new Sony LYTIA sensor for optical zoom. The new sensor will not only be larger in size, but it will also get a large aperture support for long-range zoom.
Going further, the Xiaomi 16 Pro is said to feature a flat AMOLED display with the new Low-Injection Pressure Overmolding (LIPO) display technology. This is a new display tech in which, the second material of the panel is molded over or around an existing component using lower injection pressure than traditional methods. This allows the manufacturers to have the slimmest possible bezels around the display, giving their phones an immersive screen-to-body ratio proportion.
