Xiaomi’s past user interface, MIUI was known for offering some really good animations. Despite the brand’s success, it neglected to update the animations in its successor, HyperOS, leading to numerous user complaints. Users are what really define a brand, and it looks like the company is finally paying attention to what they have to say. As per a piece of new information, the forthcoming HyperOS 2.0 brings an updated and improved animation engine and looks smooth and modern.

HyperOS 2.0 gets a new animation engine

The testing of the upcoming HyperOS 2.0 is already underway and the launch is going to take place in China very soon. But before the launch, we have a lot of videos of HyperOS 2 circulating online. Some of these videos show the improved animation system while other shows the redesigned user interface.

One of these videos shows the new app opening and closing animation system of HyperOS 2.0. In the video, we can clearly see a huge upgrade in terms of animation rendering and smoothness. The transition from opening to closing the app looks buttery and is kind of very satisfying. The gradual blur effect also gives it a very nice touch. While this animation system is definitely very good, we will have to wait until the official launch to know if these new animations are going to come to all the Xiaomi devices, or are going to be limited to flagships.
