Huawei has been very notorious when it comes to launching the smartphones. They have released many new smartphones in China without any formal announcements. Like, For example, they had previously launched the Mate 60 Pro in the country with no official launch or anything. The device just got listed on their Huawei mall and became available for commercial sale after a few days. Similarly, they have now listed the Huawei Mate X5 in the country without any fanfare.
The Huawei Mate X5 can now be pre-ordered in China through Huawei Mall. Although there has been no official announcement regarding the device’s launch, it is expected to start shipping or become available for purchase in the coming days. Huawei Mate X5; What does it offer?
The successor of Mate X4, the Huawei Mate X5, offers many upgraded specifications. Starting from the outer display, it offers a 6.4-inch FullHD+ OLED display with a pixel resolution of 2504*1080p. It supports up to 120Hz high refresh rate and has an aspect ratio of 20:9:9. The panel used is of LTPO and hence it supports variable refresh rate depending upon the content and usage pattern to save battery.
The brand also claims that the panel is safe for the eyes as it has 1440Hz of high-frequency PWM dimming. Concerning the inner screen, we get a 7.85-inches OLED panel with 2492 x 2224 pixel resolution and 120Hz LTPO refresh rate support. This one has also 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming support.

The Mate X5’s screen supports 1.07 billion colors, providing a true-to-life image. There’s also support for a P3 wide color gamut. In addition, Huawei has used Kunlun glass for protection, which increases overall durability. As for the processor, we do not have any official information on that. But most probably, it’s HiSilicon Kirin 9000.
The gadget has a 50MP main camera on the back. A 13MP ultra-wide angle sensor and a 12MP periscope telephoto sensor supplement the primary sensor. The Huawei Mate X5 has an 8MP camera on the internal screen and another 8MP sensor on the exterior screen for selfies and video calls. They also offer OIS/AIS stabilization, allowing for stable and smooth video.
The Huawei Mate X5 is powered by a 5060mAh battery. In terms of charging, the gadget supports 88W fast wired charging. As a result, the battery should charge from 0% to 100% in record time. For those who prefer wireless charging, the Mate X5 supports 50W rapid wireless charging. It also supports reverse wireless charging at 7.5W.
We currently do not have any official pricing information for the gadget. However, the item is available for pre-order in Feather Sand White, Sand Black, and Sand Gold. There are also Phantom Purple and Ayoma Di variants with vegan leather finishes.
