Vivo’s sub-brand IQOO has been known for providing cutting edge hardware at a very aggressive pricing. Last year IQOO launched its IQOO 12 smartphone and it was widely praised for its photography capabilities and performance at a very aggressive pricing. Now the company is gearing up to release its successor IQOO 13 in an event scheduled to take place in November in China.
Camera Details
As per Digital Chat Station, IQOO 13 will debut with a triple camera setup. The primary camera will be a 50MP 1/1.56 inch IMX 921 sensor. The Ultrawide camera will be a 50MP JN1 sensor and at last a 2X IMX 826 telephoto camera. There will be OIS support for both main and telephoto cameras.

These camera specifications may sound good but when you compare it with the previous generation IQOO 12 it’s actually downgraded. IQOO 12 had a better 1/1.31 inch Omnivision OV 50H sensor for main and a 64MP 3x Periscope sensor. IQOO 13 has regressed the main camera and replaced the periscope with a normal telephoto.
We see this as a brand trying to control the price by regressing the camera hardware. IQOO has been known for performance phones and IQOO 13 is solely targeting those who want performance. IQOO 13 will debut with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor ( Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s new name). Other specifications include a 6.7 inch 2k BOE Q10 OLED display, a big 6000mah battery with 100W fast charging support.
Overall, the IQOO 13 will also be an exciting phone if we don’t compare it to its previous generation. The global and India launch should be in December of this year making it probably the first phone to available globally with new Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship processor.
