The successor to the OnePlus 12, the OnePlus 13 has been in development for quite a long time. There were a lot of rumours and leaks related to it recently. But now, the brand has finally decided to break its silence and we now have official information on the launch time of the forthcoming flagship of OnePlus. The launch is happening very soon.
OnePlus 13 is confirmed to launch in October this year
One of the top-level officials of the OnePlus, the president of the China division, Li Jie Louis has confirmed on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo that the OnePlus’ new flagship is all set to be released in October this year. Even though he didn’t directly reveal the device’s name, no other flagship will be announced by OnePlus other than the OnePlus 13.
He further confirmed that the device will pack the latest generation of flagship chip and it’s going to be none other than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. He further emphasized that the device will use new performance technology developed by the OnePlus. This new tech will give the OnePlus 13 users the best possible experience while playing Genshin Impact in 120FPS, says the official.

The chipset, according to him, is designed by a star team that had previously designed epoch-making PC chips. It will also use a fully self-developed dual-core architecture design. All this confirms that the SoC is none other than the 8 Gen 4. The chipset features a custom Oryon CPU that can also be seen in the Snapdragon X PC chipsets.
In a nutshell, the device is going to be a performance powerhouse. It would be interesting to see how OnePlus manages to make use of this powerful chipset and if the points made by the official in his post are true or not.
