After a year of delay, Oppo is all geared up to unveil its next generation of foldable flagship, the Oppo Find N5 in China. The foldable phone has already been teased by company officials revealing some key details.
First of all , Oppo Find N5 will be the world’s thinnest book style foldable device at just 4.xmm thin when unfolded. And when folded the Find N5 achieves a remarkable 9.xmm thinnest which is actually thinner than a iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Oppo Find N5 will also be Oppo’s first foldable phone with IPX6, IPX8 and IPX9 certified. The foldable device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset making it the first foldable phone with the new generation of Snapdragon flagship chip. The smartphone is expected to have a 5800mah of battery with 80W fast wired and 50W wireless charging technology.
The Find N5 will be equipped with Hasselblad backed triple 50 MP cameras with a dedicated periscope sensor. The periscope sensor will be L shape periscope and not W style periscope thus offering a better focusing distance. For security, Find N5 will have a side mounted fingerprint scanner and a 2D face lock. The smartphone will boot ColorOS 15 out of the box with dozens of AI features and foldable oriented optimization.
Launch Timeline
Oppo Find N5 is currently scheduled to be launched in February in China. There is no confirmation regarding global launch but since the previous generation Find N3 made its way to the global market, we can expect Find N5 to also follow suit. OnePlus might rebrand it as OnePlus Open 2 and launch in its key markets like India, US etc.
