OPPO Working on a 7000mAh Battery With 80W Fast Charging

Almost all the upcoming flagship devices are going to have a massive battery capacity. Flagships were previously known to have smaller battery capacities but it seems like the game is taking a U-turn now. New high-density battery technology is making a big difference. It allows manufacturers to fit more battery capacity in a smaller space. For example, the new technology will allow a device to have a 5500mAh battery in the same space that was previously occupied by a 5000mAh battery using the old technology.

We will get to see more and more devices coming with the bigger battery and this new tech in the future. And apparently, the OPPO labs are currently working on a new 7000mAh battery.

OPPO Labs are testing a 7000mAh battery with 80W fast charging

As per the Digital Chat Station, the OPPO laboratories are working on a new 7000mAh battery along with an 80W fast wired charging support. The tipster did not mention whether this tech is coming to the upcoming smartphones or not. It’s also unclear whether this huge battery uses the newer high-density battery tech or the older one.

However, it will make much more sense to predict that this is mostly going to be powered by the new high-density battery technology. This is because if they use the old tech, it will not just make the device thick but bulky and heavy as well. OPPO is one of those brands that always opt for the latest technologies in its devices.

Well, it would be interesting to see which particular OPPO device’s new battery tech is going to land. And for this, we will have to wait a few more days or maybe some weeks.
