But no one knew which model this codename belonged to. As GSMChina team, we did the necessary search on Mi Code and found out which device this codename belongs to. The new premium flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra was found to have 2 different versions. One of them may have an under-screen camera.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra comes with an under-display camera

Xiaomi MIX 4 was a Xiaomi MIX model with an under-display camera and since then no new MIX smartphone has been introduced. Xiaomi MIX 5 is expected to be unveiled in 2025. Which model does the recently rumored “Xiaomi Suiren” codename belong to? Is the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s codename changed?
First of all, we would like to point out that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s codename has not changed. The smartphone will continue to have the codename “aurora“. In addition to this, a new codename has also been spotted. This codename is “aurorapro“. It has been confirmed that there will be two different versions of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. One model may come with an under-screen camera, while the other may have a normal front camera.
The internal codename “Xiaomi Suiren” actually belongs to the model of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra with an under-screen camera. Mi Code has revealed the codenames “aurora” and “aurorapro”. This suggests that the device has 2 different versions.
Note that the name “suiren” is not available on the Xiaomi server. Therefore, the codename “Xiaomi Suiren” actually represents the name “aurorapro”. On the Xiaomi server, the last internal HyperOS build of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is 24.1.12. This is the HyperOS daily build and clearly shows that the smartphone has been tested. It will ship with Android 14 based HyperOS out of the box.
Looking at the history of this codename, Suiren was the inventor of artificial fire in ancient China. He taught people how to cook and was later recognized as the ancestor of fire. The Suiren family gave birth to the “fuxi” and “nuwa” families.
Xiaomi 13 has the codename “fuxi” and Xiaomi 13 Pro “nuwa”. The codenames are related to each other and we see that the “suiren” codename is one of the internal codenames of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Xiaomi 14 Ultra will have Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and come with superior camera features. The launch is expected in April 2024 with Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro.
